History:

The department of IT was established in 2009. The department has been imparting courses to the students through its ongoing B.Sc.IT programmes. The academic programme of the department is according to the curriculum designed by Gauhati University.

Intake Capacity : 20 Nos

Why B.Sc.IT ?:

Information Technology is one of the important Department to cope up the present society. It is a growing industry of present world creating enormous vacancy for skilled candidates which ensure opportunity for the deserving and potential students, as the uses of IT is wide ranges now a days.

Wall Magazine: The department published yearly wall magazine.
Laboratory:
The department has a laboratory of its own with sufficient number of computers with LAN and INTERNET facilities.

Library:

The department has a library with sufficient number of books of different verity related as well as reference to the course. Students are allowed to nursed books to enhance their accumulated knowledge and are issued to the students according to their needs.

Activities under taken by the department:

Organized Quiz competition.

Organized Audio visual classes.

Seminar for the faculty members as well as for the students.

Organized one year certificate course in IT.
